Cisco Career Certifications Cisco IP Communications Support Specialist The Cisco IP Communications Support Specialist certification was designed for those whose primary responsibility is to install and support IP Telephony multi-service network solutions. Cisco IP Communications Support Specialists can configure and troubleshoot complex Cisco Call Manager platforms using multiple-call control, call admission control (CAC), and basic call routing and dial plans. They possess a solid understanding of traditional PSTN technology and can resolve the connectivity issues related to legacy PBX and voice mail systems. Prerequisites: Valid CCNP certification Test Recommended Training 642-444 CIPT     Cisco IP Telephony Part 1 (CIPT1)     Cisco IP Telephony Part 2 (CIPT2) 642-432 CVOICE     Cisco Voice over IP (CVOICE) 642-642 QOS    Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QOS) Recertification: Cisco IP Telephony Support Specialist certifications are valid for two years. To recertify, either pass the 642-444 CIPT exam, or pass a CCIE written exam on or after October 1, 2004.
