Course Content

Cisco IP Telephony Part 1 (CIPT1) prepares the delegate for installing, configuring and maintaining a Cisco IP Telephony Solution with Call Manager. This coure focusses primarily on Cisco Call Manager and the Call Routing and Signalling component for the Cisco IP Telephony Solution.
This course has been tailored in conjunction with Cisco to increase the amount of lab practice. The delegate will install and configure Cisco Call Manager; configure gateways, gatekeepers and switches and build route plans to place intra and inter-cluster Cisco IP phone calls. The delegate will also configure telephony class of service (COS), numerous user telephone features and media resources.
This course has been redesigned to cover not only the CIPT part 1 requirement for certification and to also add value through Fast Lanes experience of delivering real world implementations. This allows us to demonstrate, in conjunction with real world reference sites, difficulties and challenges associated with the implementation of CCM, including directory and PABX intergration.
Through using a more comprehensive voice lab than the recommended set up for the course, we are also able to add value over and above any other standard CIPT1.
Through more detailed additional labs (which were developed by our instructors for use internally with Cisco SEs) we provide a much greater emphasis on the difficulties of implementation and intergration, insuring the additional knowledge required for the new versions of Voice (CCVP curriculum) exams.
