This course provides an overview of Linux fundamentals, including the use of text editors and file management commands, the basics of networking and security, and an introduction to hardware and hardware compatibility.
Objectives:
- Identify the various Linux filesystems and explain the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard
- Execute basic Linux commands at the command line
- Identify and describe security mechanisms in Linux
- Identify important networking tools and network services
- Describe the Linux hardware compatibility list and determine whether a device is compatible with Linux
- Install and mount an external device
